About

I am the research manager of the Robot Learning group at MSR Redmond. My general research interests lie in the area of automatic decision-making powered by large pretrained representations, with a particular emphasis on decision-making for robotic manipulation. In the past, I worked on topics ranging from path planning for autonomous sailplane UAVs to designing algorithms for Bing’s next-generation Web crawler.

I received a CS Ph.D. from the University of Washington – Seattle and a double B.A. in CS and applied mathematics from UC Berkeley.
