I've been with Microsoft since 1997. I returned to Microsoft Research from the Windows File Systems and Storage team in February 2005. I've worked in and around storage since writing my first ter(ror)byte circa 1980. My e-science research explores how database technologies can help change collaborative research in the earth sciences. I'm collaborating with computer scientists at the Berkeley Water Center and San Diego SuperComputing Center. We're working with carbon climate researchers and hydrologists. Be sure to check out Technical Computing at Microsoft. |
