Educational Robotics & Microsoft (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
This page will list some of our educational robotics activities. Initially, it will just highlight robotics projects from one of our programs, the Embedded Systems RFP (Request for Proposals), as this is the largest recent concentration of such projects. We have other activities that will be described later.

Embedded Systems RFP 2003-2004
Microsoft Research University Relations in partnership with Windows Embedded awarded Innovation Excellence Awards totaling $1.7M in funding for projects involving research or teaching with Microsoft embedded systems. Out of 139 papers, awards were made to 77 projects at 75 universities across 26 countries. 63 of the projects were research-based and 14 were teaching-based. We did not chose a specific application domain for the projects -- the overall theme for all the projects was simply innovative embedded systems research and teaching. The main Microsoft Research site for the Embedded Systems RFP is here. Other University Relations RFPs are here.

Below is a summary list of all the projects. There were 12 robotics projects which are highlighted in yellow with links to their web pages.
