This work involved a preliminary study on how well the "eigenface" face recognition technique works with infrared imagery. We imaged 24 subjects at several viewing angles using an Cincinnati Electronics IRC-160 infrared camera (160x120, 12-bit digital). The IR images and the eigenfaces are shown below.
