Biography
Pushmeet Kohli is an associate researcher in the Machine Learning and Perception group at Microsoft Research Cambridge. He is also a post-doctoral associate of Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge. Before coming to Cambridge, he was a visiting researcher at Microsoft Research, India.
Pushmeet completed his Phd studies at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford under the supervision of Prof. Philip H. S. Torr. The title of his thesis was "Minimizing Dynamic and Higher Order Energy Functions using Graph Cuts". During his stay at oxford, he was a member of the Visual geometry group at the University of Oxford.
Before his Phd, Pushmeet worked in the Foundation of Software Engineering Group at Microsoft Research Redmond, USA on testing of Non-deterministic systems (May-Sep 2004). He has a Bachelors of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India.
