Brief Bio:
I am a researcher in the Networked Embedded Computing Group of MSR. Before
joining Microsoft Research in May 2004, I was a researcher in the
Embedded Collaborative Computing Area
of Palo Alto Research Center (formerly
Xerox PARC). I got my Ph.D. degree from EECS, UC Berkeley in 2001. At
Berkeley, I was in the Ptolemy
group directed by Prof.
Edward A. Lee. I got my Master and Bachelor degrees from Department of
Automation, Tsinghua University,
Beijing China in 1996 and 1993, respectively.
My research interests root in the field of embedded system: modeling,
programming, simulation, and design. I am particular interested in
large-scale networked embedded systems such as sensor networks. My recent
work is primarily on designing programming models and software tools that
enable users to effectively program and interact with sensor networks. I served
on Technical Program Committees of Sensys, IPSN, RTAS, RTSS, ICDCS,
MASS, DATE, SAC, and FeBID, among others. Here is my brief CV.
