Krishna Kumar Mehra

Hello! I have just completed my Bachelors in Technology from IIT Kharagpur, a sleepy town near Calcutta. I am working as an Assistant Researcher in the Rigorous Software Engineering group, under Sriram Rajamani. My interests broadly lie in the field of verification and collaboration. I am here to learn more about these fields and also understand research per se. A (not updated) version of my resume is available here.

My stay in IIT Kharagpur was exhilarating, something which I will not forget very soon. You can visit the IIT Kharagpur site from the breadcrumbs below. I was a resident of the Radhakrishnan Hall of Residence(RK Hall). You can see some pictures of the place where I stayed here. RK Hall has been at the forefront of student activities, winning both the Social 'n Cultural and the Sports General Championships in my final year (2006). We are also considered a formidable force in the Illumination competion held during Diwali. You can read more about Illumination at my blog here and here (you would have to press "Cancel" when prompted).

I was a founding member of the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Kharagpur, a first baby step to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship among IITians. I served as the president of the CSE Department Society in my final year and organized Bitwise 2006, a time-constraint algorithm-intensive online programming contest, arguably the best such contest in India organized by an educational institution. Bitwise 2006 was an overwhelming success with 2700 teams from 41 countries participating in it. I have also worked as a part of the founding team of Minekey, a Santa Clara based startup in the consumer internet space with its first R&D Center in IIT Kharagpur. I was a member of the core team of Kshitij 2004 (it's first year), the techno-management festival of IIT Kharagpur.

I am involved in the activities of the Bangalore Chapter of the Technology Alumni Association of IIT Kharagpur (website). Check out The Rosetta, a magazine I have occasionally helped out with.

My hobbies include reading, debating and dramatics. I also blog on my Live Space (personal) and Wordpress(a more technical blog), and (occasionally) put up crazy pictures on Flickr.
