As mobile phones become more sophisticated computers, there is increasing opportunity for them to support productivity tasks when people are away from their desks. One challenge, however, is that mobile phone activities are relatively isolated from those we perform on desktop computing systems. My research focuses on bringing mobile phones into the fold of personal and productivity computing by 1) enabling more seamless user experiences between phones and traditional computing platforms, and by 2) developing effective interfaces and metaphors for accessing a wide variety of information from the mobile phone.
