David Darnell is a Senior Software Engineering Lead working on the Machine Translation project in Microsoft Research. His primary responsibilities include system analysis, design and verification of the SQL Server databases used by the team. He holds MCSD, MCTS and SQL Server 2005 Database Developer certifications, a M.A. in Computational Linguistics and a C++ Graduate Certificate from the University of Washington, a Graduate Certificate from SUNY Binghamton in Translation Studies, and a B.S. from Vanderbilt University.
