Cheng Huang is in the Communication and Collaboration Systems group at Microsoft Research. His current interests include peer-to-peer streaming, distributed storage systems, erasure correction codes, networking and multimedia communications. 

He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 1997 and 2000, respectively, both in Electronic Engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005.
