I work in Microsoft Research doing a variety of topics. My current project is in human computer interfaces as part of the Visualization for Business and Entertainment Group (VIBE). I particularly focus on large displays and how people interact with the computer at different display sizes and with different information density.
My previous project focused on Ubiquious Computing (See the EasyLiving project home). We were building a system that adds geometric information into the normal knowlegde representation the system maintains. We use a large variety of sensors from cameras to keyboard activity to build models of the user's location and their attention. This information is then used to trigger behaviors that control the devices in the environment.
