TRAVEL

Bangalore Airport (BLR) is very well connected. There are numerous direct flights daily connecting to all major airline hubs in Europe and South-East Asia. Additionally, Bangalore is also very well connected via domestic flights to Delhi and Mumbai, from where there are direct long-haul services to NYC and ORD (Luggage may not always get checked through on the domestic sectors though – check with your airline. Generally if Jet Airways is the domestic carrier, the chances are greater that they have an agreement with the international carrier for checking through luggage).

The Airport is within the main city area, and is about 45min drive away from the Conference Venue, and most of the hotels listed below. If your hotel provides an Airport Transfer, please do use it. Else, use the “Pre-paid Taxi Service”. There is a booth for this inside the airport, just as you exit baggage claim.

VISAS

ACCOMMODATION

Bangalore has a range of hotels available, and you could speak to your travel agent about them or look online, though information might often be incomplete. Given the nature of demand here, especially in mid-December, it is very important to book ahead at the earliest to get a hotel of your choice, close to the venue, which is the Grand Ashok on Kumarakrupa Road, High Grounds, Bangalore. We have negotiated special conference deals with some hotels which are close to the venue. These rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis, so please do book as soon as you can.
