IEEE/ACM International Conference on Information and
Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD2007)
Sponsorship Opportunities
ICTD2007 is seeking sponsors. In 2006, the conference hosted 200+ participants from over 20 countries, and we issued travel grants to authors of accepted papers who came from less affluent countries and who were not able otherwise to cover the costs of their trip. Without sponsors for that conference, many of the best speakers would not have been able to attend, and they would have had to ask colleagues to present their papers for them. ICTD2006 was delighted and grateful that its sponsors were able to bring at least one author from every paper that requested travel assistance.
We expect a similar situation for ICTD2007 and request
organizations who find the topic of technology for development to consider
sponsoring the conference. Sponsorship will go towards travel and accommodation
of invited speakers, towards travel grants for authors of accepted papers, and
hopefully, also to researchers and students who apply for travel grants simply to
attend the conference. Preference is given to paper authors, and to those
coming from outside of
It should be noted that ICTD is an affiliation-neutral academic conference whose continuation depends upon the support of the academic research community focused on information and communication technology and development.
