Focus

The Virtual Earth and Location Summit workshop is intended to be a two-day mind swap event between researchers in industry and university along the themes of the Virtual Earth RFP that can be found on the Virtual Earth™ Academic Research Collaboration 2007 RFP Awards page.

The goal of the Virtual Earth and Location Summit 2008 is threefold:

  • Share the research results among the winners of the Virtual Earth RFP 2007 to encourage further collaborations

  • Understand how the assets contributed to enable academic research

  • Engage in a two-way conversation between university researchers and stakeholders from Microsoft and Microsoft Research
