Wendy Kellogg
Biography
Wendy A. Kellogg is Manager of Social Computing (www.research.ibm.com/SocialComputing/)
at IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center. Her current work involves defining and
promoting the emerging field of social computing, as well as designing,
building, and evaluating computer-mediated communication (CMC) systems. Dr.
Kellogg’s work in human-computer interaction (HCI) over the last two decades
spans theory, evaluation methods, multidisciplinary software design, and
development. She holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Oregon and is author of numerous papers in the fields of HCI and CSCW
(Computer-Supported Cooperative Work), including guest editing a recent special
issue of Human-Computer Interaction entitled “New Agendas for Human-Computer
Interaction.” Dr. Kellogg is an ACM Fellow and a member of the National
Research Council’s Computer Science and Telecommunications Board.
