Jay Fluegel
Biography
Jay Fluegel joined Microsoft in 1999 as part of the
acquisition of Jump.com, an online calendaring and personal information
management service, which later became MSN Calendar. He spent time as a Program
Manager on several large-scale services—Calendar, Hotmail, Messenger, and
Alerts—and later as a technical product planner investigating new MSN subscription
service ideas.
Jay is currently a Lead Program Manager on the Spaces team
which is responsible for MSN’s community-centric services such as Groups,
Member Directory, Web Messenger, and the recently launched MSN Spaces. His
primary focus has been bringing Spaces together with our key communication
services, Messenger and Hotmail.
Jay is very excited about learning what industry/academic
experts think are the most engaging social interactions that can be mapped from
the physical world to the online one.
