Biography
I am currently a program manager for Microsoft Research’s
Incubation team where my task is to take promising ideas, prototype them, study
them, and turn the successful prototypes into successful businesses. My primary
areas of interest are technologies to help people coordinate, communicate, and
collaborate.
In the past, I have worked in the Real-Time Collaboration
product group and on Bill Gates’ technology assistance team. Past projects have
involved Sideshow, a peripheral awareness display for the Windows desktop and
Enhanced Telephony, a prototype that combines the phone and computer user
experiences. Sideshow might appear as the sidebar in the next version of
Windows, and many of Enhanced Telephony’s concepts can be found in the new
Microsoft Office Communicator product.
