Ankur Agarwal is an Associate Researcher at Microsoft Research Cambridge and works in the Machine Learning & Perception group. He has a background in Computer Vision and has worked in areas spanning motion analysis in images, object recognition and efficient stereo vision. Most of his approaches involve building statistical models from observed data. He is currently using computer vision and machine learning technology to develop a collaborative workstation that will enable people to remotely work with one another in a very effective manner.

Ankur also holds a research fellowship at Darwin College in the University of Cambridge. Outside work, he enjoys rowing at the college's boat club and is involved in the setting up of a society on Social Entrepreneurship at the university.
