The Pao-Lu Hsu Statistics Conference 2007: Machine Learning was held on July 11-12, 2007 at Peking University, Beijing. This conference is an event of the Beijing International Math Center and the Microsoft Lab on Statistics and Information Technology at Peking University. It is also sponsored by Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) in Beijing. This conference intends to promote machine learning and its applications in China.

Professors from many famous universities including Stanford University, University of Massachusetts, Princeton University, UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, etc. were invited to be speakers on the conference.
