Introduction
To facilitate
the information sharing and learning about Windows curriculum
development among the professors in the Asia Pacific region, MSRA
University Relations continued the tradition of organizing regional
Windows Core workshop. The latest workshop, co-organized by MSRA UR and
Zhejiang University, took place in Hangzhou,
China, from February 25th to 26th, 2008, brought 70 professors
from seven countries and regions together for the first time. With
a roster of
speakers from Microsoft as well as from many universities in the
Asian Pacific region, the
workshop provided a unique opportunity for the professors learning from
each other, exchanging with the technologists from Microsoft, and
getting hands-on experience using the latest Windows Academic Program
curriculum development resources.
At this
year's workshop, MSRA UR also launched an Asia Pacific region-wide
WinCore project funding proposal invitation. All the workshop attendees
were given the opportunity to submit project proposals to develop OS
curriculum for their universities, with the funding support from MSRA.
A sample of Invitation for Proposal (IFP) can be viewed
