Background
Windows embedded technology and products have
become one of the mainstream solutions in the
embedded area in recent years. The Windows
Embedded family of products consists of Windows
CE and Windows XP Embedded. Windows CE sets a
new standard for developing the next generation
of smart, connected, small-footprint embedded
devices. Windows XP Embedded is the embedded
operating system that delivers the power of the
Windows operating system in componentized form.
Microsoft Research Asia seeks to encourage
the state of arts of computer science research
and curriculum development in Windows embedded
and CE technology.
This program is supported by the Internet
Media Group, led by Dr. Shipeng Li and Dr. Aimin
