Visiting Researcher Won Prestigious Gödel Prize
On May 28, 2008 (US time), ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) awarded Dr. Daniel A. Spielman and Dr. Shang-hua Teng the prestigious Gödel Prize for developing a rigorous framework to explain the practical success of algorithms on real data and real computers that could not be clearly understood through traditional techniques.
Dr. Shang-hua Teng is professor of computer science at Boston University and a visiting researcher at Microsoft Research Asia. Dr. Teng has been instrumental in helping create and develop Theory Studies at Microsoft Research Asia.
