UPDATES: This kit and its contents are not automatically updated, nor are any updates promised. If updates do become available, they will not be notified directly to you. You must manually update the individual components of the kit as appropriate. From time to time, we may provide updates to the original contents of Disk 1. EVALUATION SOFTWARE EXPIRATION: Certain items in this kit are evaluation versions of full Microsoft products. The full products are readily available to qualified academics from MSDN Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) at minimal cost. We strongly recommend that you leverage your existing MSDNAA account if you have one, or apply for one before the evaluation software in this kit expires after its installation. Unfortunately we cannot supply additional kits in the eventuality that your evaluation software expires.

DISCLAIMERS: As detailed in the respective license agreements, this kit is provided AS-IS, with no warranties, as a tool for noncommercial academic research only. While some of its components are Microsoft products or evaluation copies of Microsoft products, the overall kit and in particular its mesh networking software components are pre-production research quality code and should only be used in research contexts. This kit’s software must not be used in production environments.

TERMINOLOGY: The term “MultiNet” may sometimes be found in this kit. Microsoft has changed the name “MultiNet” to “Virtual WiFi”. If you see instances of “MultiNet” in this kit, please read it as “Virtual WiFi”.

IMPORTANT: You must accept the enclosed License Agreements before you use this kit. If you do not accept the terms of the License Agreements, you should promptly return the kit.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Please refer to the Readme files and Release Notes on each CD and DVD for install instructions and system requirements.

PRODUCT ACTIVATION: The commercial products included herein use technological measures for copy protection – you will not be able to use the products if you do not fully comply with the product activation procedures. Product activation is required for continued use of these products. This can be done online or by telephone within 14 days of installation. Detailed instructions and Microsoft’s privacy statement are given during the installation of the products.
