Intern applicants with strong academic achievement in a Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or similar technical curricula
are preferred. While a large majority of Microsoft Research interns are currently
pursuing a Ph.D. degree, Microsoft Research does occasionally have positions
available for undergraduate and Master students. However, if you are an Undergraduate or Master
student, you will find a much greater variety of product development
positions on the
product
teams.

To apply for an internship with Microsoft Research in North America,
Europe, or India, complete the Internship
Application. We will keep new applications on file for one year from
the date of application.
If you have previously applied for an
internship, and it’s been at least a year, your application has been
deleted in compliance with our
security and privacy policy. If you are again interested in a
Microsoft Research internship, submit a new
application.

China To apply for an internship with Microsoft Research in China, qualified applicants send a full resume

message, include the position and the

Product Development Internships
If you are interested in opportunities at multiple Microsoft
Research lab locations, you only need to complete one application.
Because of the variation in work, an
application to Microsoft Research is considered separately from an
application to work on a product team. If you are interested in
