Aspects of random walks on groups ABSTRACT: Random walks on groups and their limiting behavior are closely tied to harmonic functions on these groups. I will explain some new results relating the growth of harmonic functions to the entropy of the random walk and also present some open problems. The methods refine and improve the classical work of Kaimanovich and Vershik From the 1980s. The talk is mostly based on joint work with H. Duminil, G. Kozma and A. Yadin.
