My research interests lie in the experimental aspects of networked systems and computer security. My recent work has centered on the design and implementation of three classes of systems:

1. Systems that improve the security and privacy of Internet users:

  1. Systems for computing with sensitive data: Bunker.
  2. Systems for improving the privacy of social data: Lockr.
  3. New anti-phishing, anti-spyware, worm-prevention systems: iTrustPage, SpySaver, Bluetooth Worms.
2. Systems that enable new functionality:
  1. Mobile apps: Trusted sensors, MAUI, Location proofs, HAWAII.
  2. Large-scale datacenter systems: Volley, uFragments.
3. Systems that characterize new emerging network environments:
  1. Network transparency: Glasnost.
  2. Network testbeds and tools: BlueMonarch, SatelliteLab, Monarch.
