Madhu Sudan

I recently joined Microsoft Research New England in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a Principal Researcher. I am currently on leave from MIT, where I was the Fujitsu Professor in their Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department and a member of their Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).

Research

My current research focusses are in Semantic Communication and Property Testing (especially for Algebraic Properties and Error-correcting codes). Broadly I am interested in the interface of Computation and Communication, and in particular in the role of errors in this interface.
