Kamal Jain, a researcher at Microsoft Research.

Kamal
Jain joined Microsoft Research in 2000 after a PhD degree in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization from Georgia Tech. He grew up
in New Delhi and also earned his bachelor degree there from IIT in Computer
Science and Engineering.

Kamal is also an active industrial researcher. His list of published patents

He has already been granted some patents, which can also be found at USPTO. Kamal has also been involved in directly
influencing the real world through Microsoft products. Some of the products he

Music, Search,
and Advertisement.
Kamal
also participates in the usual duties of a scientific community. Kamal has
served as a program committee member of various conferences, including STOC,
FOCS, EC, etc. He is also a vice chair of Networks and Optimization area of
Informs, and has organized the Computer Science cluster for three years. He is
also an associate editor of Operation Research.
Kamal
has also won various awards of excellence
throughout his professional career, from his college, from his employer, and
from his scientific community.
