I’m a researcher in the CUE group at Microsoft Research. My interests include:

• Sensors and machine learning for input systems

• Making our medical records more intuitive

• Computer support for music and creativity

• Mobile health sensing

My previous research has touched on:

• Haptics and physical simulation for medical applications

• Neural prosthetics and brain-computer interfaces

We’re frequently looking for interns in all of these areas. If you’re a creative PhD student, you’re a bit of a hacker-type (we like to build stuff), and you’re interested spending some time in Seattle, drop me a line.

I’m also an affiliate faculty member in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, where I hang out with the dub group.
