TRAVEL
The conference will be held in the large lecture theatre of Microsoft Research Cambridge, UK (see the pin location in the map below). The conference will start at 8:30AM on Monday 11 July and finish at 14:00 on Wednesday 13 July.
By air the closest airport is Stansted Airport (40 minutes) which is served by several low cost airlines. From Stansted airport one can take a train, bus or taxi to Cambridge (see the airport website). Other airports for the London area include Heathrow Airport (2 or 3 hours), Gatwick Airport (3 hours), Luton Airport (1.5 hours) and City Airport (1.5 hours). From Heathrow you can take a direct bus to Cambridge (but it is slow) or take a train into London Paddington, an underground (subway) train to King's Cross Railway Station and then a train from there to Cambridge. From Gatwick you can take an express train to London Victoria station, then an underground train to London King's Cross Railway station and then a train to Cambridge.
ACCOMODATION
There is no specific conference hotel or accommodation and we ask conference attendees to make their own arrangements. Booking a hotel or Bed & Breakfast anywhere in Cambridge is suitable since the conference venue (Microsoft) is walking distance from the centre of Cambridge or easy to reach by taxi or the number 4 bus to the J J Thomson stop (route map and timetable).
