HomeWatcher is an application that reveals broadband usage in the home to help householders diagnose problems, control the amount of usage by different machines, and understand past usage. The increasing use of broadband in the home leads to new issues of design and usability, homes are neither managed by systems administrators nor, despite their desire to otherwise, parents. Often having little knowledge of how the broadband paid for is used, this application enables families, or members of shared households to more effectively understand and control usage of broadband.
