Requirements

  • Windows Vista 32bit / 64bit
    Other versions of Windows (XP, W2K3, W2K8) should work but are untested.
    On x64, only 32-bit (Wow64) processes are supported.
  • .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0

Academic Release for non-commercial use only.

  • Does not require Visual Studio. If you only have Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 Express or even no Visual Studio on the machine, then Pex works from the command line.
  • Pex comes with a Visual Studio Add-in and samples which will only work if you have Visual Studio 2008 Professional (or higher).
  • The new Code Digger experience also requires Visual Studio 2008 Professional, or better, with support for the MSTest unit test framework. Otherwise, you will see an "unexpected tool error" in this release.
