Patchworks for object removal
The examples below demonstrate the effective removal of objects from single, static images and the seamless synthesis of the occluded regions. The automatic region filling step propagates both texture and structure information from the remainder of the image into the target region. Patchworks may also be used for completing panoramas and removing their typical bow-tie effect, or restoration of old or damaged photographs.
