Argo is an online image advertising system that automatically associates relevant ads to a user’s shared photos based on photo content analysis. The first version of Argo attempted to associate user-targeted ads based on user interest analysis. The second version of Argo investigated the way of adjacent marketing for online image advertising.

The Background, Motivation and Key Idea

Text-based/Document-based online advertising (e.g. Adwords, AdSense) has received its great success. However, how to advertise on image content is still an open question.

Argo is an attempt towards online image advertising. It's a part of the inline image advertising project.
