I recently joined WIT group at MSRA as an associate researcher at March, 2009. I received the B.S, M.S, and Ph.D. in computer science from Korea University, Seoul, Korea, in 2001, 2003, 2008 respectively.
As a researcher, my fundamental interest is how to make people's daily-life better based on 'natural language processing technology'. For example, what can be more convenient way to access information or devices? or is it possible to make peoples closer to each other by providing a better way to say "hello, how are you?" or "nice to meet you"? I think it would be great if I can contribute even just a little, although it would be a very long trip in my life.
Specifically, I have lots of interests on NLP-applications, such as automaitc summarization, QA applications, intelligent IR systems based on language understanding, and so on.
