I joined Microsoft in Oct 2005 and spent two years in Education Incubation Group where I worked on an incubation project of using computer games enhanced with new intelligence technologies including speech recognition to help children learn language. This project leads to a start-up company Sabi Inc. Before that, I obtained my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1998, M.S. in Signal and Information Processing from Peking University in 2001, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005. My Ph.D. advisor is Dr. Yunxin Zhao. I also did a summer internship in MSR Speech Group under the mentorship of Dr. Li Deng.

Now I am a Research Software Design Engineer in Search Quality Group at Microsoft Research - ISRC (Internet Services Research Center). My research interests include data-mining and machine-learning for improving Live search engine, language modeling, fast decoding engine for large vocabulary continuous speech recognition (LVCSR), children's speech recognition and Automatic Reading Tutor, etc.
