I'm a researcher in the Security and Privacy Research Group since September 2006.  My research interests lie in the areas of systems and software security.  In addition to writing papers, I enjoy developing security tools that are useful in the real world.

Since I joined MSR, I have worked on two main topics: typing dynamic data for memory analysis and automatic protocol reverse engineering.

I earned my Ph.D. (2006) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and M.S. (2003) in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and my M.E. (2000) and B.E. (1998) in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
