Background
Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Pinsdorf joined the European Microsoft Innovation Center (EMIC) in early 2007 as a Program Manager in the Security Team. His research interests include security and privacy in service-oriented architectures and interoperability between heterogeneous systems. Before EMIC he was senior scientist and deputy head of the Department for Security Technology at Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (IGD) in Darmstadt, Germany. Ulrich is an active and founding crew member of the Competence Center for Applied Security Technology (CAST e.V.) in Darmstadt, Germany. CAST is an independent organisation which bundles professional security competence in Germany. He contributed to a number of national and European security-related projects. He holds a PhD from TU Darmstadt.
