About Me
I work in the Interactive Visual Media group of Microsoft Research. Our work focuses on computer vision and graphics to enable new consumer photography and video experiences. My interest includes extracting image features and matching views for vision-based localization. This has applications in robot navigation, computer gaming, and geolocated augmented reality on hand-held devices.
Projects
- Microsoft ICE - automatically stitches together multiple consumer photographs to make a panorama.
- Photosynth - alignes large photographic databases of a single location in 3D space.
- Augmented Reality for mobile devices - using real-time image recognition to locate a mobile device and provide relevant information which is displayed using augmented graphics.
