Sergio is an interaction designer managing the design team of the HCI group of Microsoft Research Asia. In the last 10 years of his career, his work has spanned Europe (Italy and Germany) and Asia (Japan and China), perpetually allowing him to interact with the “cultural other”. Given his diverse experiences in both R&D and Line Products, at both software companies and manufacturing corporations (Fraunhofer R&D, Hitachi, Panasonic), his interests lie at the intersection between design and research. He is a deep believer in adopting intercultural and interdisciplinary perspectives, coupled with collaboration and development aimed at user-centered innovation.
