Roman Snytsar is a Senior Test Lead in the Microsoft Research Connections group, productizing state-of-the-art research technologies for broad consumption by both academic and commercial research institutions.
He is currently responsible for building an open source project that uses technology to transform the ways we learn about history.
Past projects include cloud mobile applications, tools for bioinformatics and biology research, and a platform for visualizing the astronomical and planetary data.
Prior to joining Microsoft Research he has spent time at Tablet PC group working on the electronic ink technology and handwriting recognition.
He holds a MS in Physics from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.
When not working on the next breakthrough software project Roman usually has a camera in his hands. He is an internationally published photographer specializing in Earth, Energy, and Environment imagery.
