Background

Dipl.-Inf. René Hülswitt is a member of the Self Adapting System Composition Team at the European Microsoft Innovation Center in Aachen, Germany. Within this group he works on the FORMULA modeling framework and Hyalite, which is a toolchain especially designed for the use in design space exploration contexts.

He has joined the EMIC in 2006 as a Software Design Engineer working in the Home Team. He has worked on networking protocol stacks like UPnP and Web Services. He has expertise in recommender systems which he developed in context of the research projects HOMEPLANE and MyMedia.

Prior his engagement at Microsoft he has worked for a company developing DSL routers and powerline communication devices, as the head of the software development and quality assurance group.
