Rajesh Hegde

I am a Senior Research Software Design Engineer (Sr. RSDE) in the Communication and Collaboration Systems Group at Microsoft Research, Redmond, USA since 2004. Prior to joining Microsoft Research, I spent 5 years with Windows Media Platform group at Microsoft where I helped ship various media SDKs.

Education: I completed my Master of Science (M.S) in Computer Science from University of Washington, Seattle and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from KREC (now known as NITK), Surathkal, India.

Interests:  My current interests include TeleConferencing, TelePresence, Contextual Presence, Automatic Presence Detection, 3D Video Conferencing, Multimedia Systems - Architecture, Design, Implementation, Real-time Communication, Unified Comminication, Social Networking, and Mobile applications.
