About Myself
I am a post-doc researcher at Microsoft Research, Silicon Valley. My research interests are in mobile networking, data replication and cloud computing. I like building real systems. At the moment I'm mainly working on the Cimbiosys project.
I have a Ph.D in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, Switzerland where I was working in the Systems Group under the supervision of Prof. Gustavo Alonso. In my thesis work I developed a system for efficient lookup and distribution of key/value pairs in wireless ad hoc networks. This system was used to build higher level network services (SIP, DNS, SLP) which would allow ad hoc networks to become a natural and seamless extension of the Internet.
