Matt Scott

Matt Scott
Matt Scott is a Senior Development Lead in the Innovation Engineering Group at Microsoft Research Asia. He leads the Microsoft Research "Engkoo" cloud-based linguistics projects that directly led to the creation of two new Microsoft products with millions of users in China: Bing Pinyin IME (http://bing.msn.cn/pinyin) in 2013 and Bing Dictionary (http://cn.bing.com/dict) in 2010. He has been awarded 18 Microsoft Technology Transfer Awards for transferring research technologies into Windows, Office and Bing; co-authored 12 published papers in natural language processing, human-computer interaction, and computer vision; and has received 32 Microsoft patent awards (submitted/granted U.S. patents). Matt is a member of the IEEE.
