I joined MSR as a Research Software Development Engineer in October 2008. My interests include topics related to datacenters/cloud computing platforms, specially concerning responsiveness of services executing in such settings. Aditionally, I am interested in distributed systems' aspects of mobile applications and services. I am currently working on TiDyFS, a distributed storage system for Dryad, and on StarTrack, a framework for enabling location-based applications.
I received my Ph.D. from Cornell University in 2008, under the guidance of Robbert van Renesse. During graduate school, I worked on a few different topics, including publish-subscribe systems, peer-to-peer computing and monitoring. My thesis was on techniques for improving reliability and scalability of live streaming peer-to-peer systems.
