Jeremy Espenshade


Software Development Engineer in the Internet Services Research Center (ISRC) working on understanding and fulfilling user intent in search queries. Primarily develop low-latency structured-data indexing and natural language parsing technologies for semantic understanding and query suggestion generation.

Prior to joining MSR, I worked as a developer in the Microsoft High Performance Computing group where I shipped parallel runtimes for distributed computing on Windows Server and Windows Azure including Excel Workbook Parallelization and LINQ to HPC (based on DryadLINQ)

I received BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology with a research focus on parallel hardware acceleration (FPGA, GPGPU) and also interned with several teams at IBM before joining Microsoft.
