I am in the first year of the Schramm Memorial Fellowship which is a newly created joint position between Microsoft Research New England and the MIT Mathematics Department. Starting in summer 2012 I will also be a Clay Research Fellow. I completed my Ph.D. at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences in 2011 under advisement of Gérard Ben Arous. I received my A.B. in Mathematics at Harvard.
Research interests include: Probability, non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, stochastic partitial differential equations, interacting particle systems, growth models, polymers, random matrices, Fredholm determinants, symmetric function theory, tropical combinatorics.
I coorganize the MIT Probability Seminar. In January 2012 I gave a course at the Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute. Here is talk 1, talk 2, talk 3, talk 4, talk 5. Participants may find this review useful as well. In late March 2012 I gave a course with Patrik Ferrari at Jussieu in Paris. Here are some slides on directed polymers and Macdonald processes.
