I'm a Lead Program Manager on the Advanced Development Team, which is part of the Microsoft Research Redmond Lab.
Our team gets a rare glimpse into research technologies which are thought provoking, and drive a long arch reach into the future. In some cases we transform [engineer] these technologies into shipping software, available to be downloaded by consumers or tested in commercial environments.
