Fabien Petitcolas is with Microsoft Research in Cambridge, England. He heads Intellectual Capital Development which incorporates a number of programmes to support outstanding scientists in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including the Microsoft Research PhD Scholarship and European Fellowship programmes. Before heading these programmes, Fabien was a researcher within the Security Research Group.
Fabien graduated in 1996 from École Centrale, Lyon. He then studied at the University of Cambridge under the guidance of Prof. Ross Anderson for a doctorate, which was partly funded by the Intel Corporation and was awarded in 1999 when he joined Microsoft Research.
